About Frank Curran

Frank established the company in 2002. He has worked in the social care sector for more than twenty years. He has considerable operational experience but has also worked extensively with Local Authorities in the commissioning and procurement of social care and housing related support services.

Frank has acted as Lead Officer for four SP programmes and has led strategic reviews for SP programmes, substance misuse and learning disability services. He is currently undertaking a strategic review of commissioning arrangements for substance misuse services as well as managing an Individual Budgets pilot.

He has particular expertise in helping both local authorities and providers prepare for the personalisation agenda. He is been actively engaged with commissioning and strategic planning.
Project News: In late 2009 Frank and his team of consultants began the work of creating an 'outcomes based' Quality Standards Framework to be rolled out accross 12 local authority areas in the North East region. SP Solutions implemented a dedicated website as part of the stakeholder engagement strategy.

During the first 2/3 weeks of consultation the website received 1453 page views and 318 people booked onto consultation events during November/December 2009. The website can be accessed at this link:
